A. Smith

Mr. Smith was a native of Cherokee County, SC, and retired from Duke Power Company where he was a plant accountant for 27 years. He was a member of the Baptist Faith, past member of Amvets, Zodiac Club in Charlotte, NC and was a graduate of Harris High School in Harris, NC, and Howard's Business College in Shelby. He served in the U. S. Navy where he was on the USS Coral Sea, CVB-43. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Cleveland County and Kathy Reinhardt & Glenda Bridges who were his sitters. Mr. Smith was preceeded in death by his parents Thomas Clyde Smith & Vada Shehan Smith, his wife Betty Greene Smith, and a brother Leonard Smith. Survivors are two sons; Jeffrey K. Smith of Raleigh, NC, and Charles P. Smith and wife Carol of Charlotte, NC. He is also survived by two grandchildren Noah P. Smith & Olivia Ann Smith both of Charlotte, NC, and two brothers T. C. Smith Jr. of Henrietta, NC and Bill Smith of Shelby. In addition to these he is also survived by a dear friend for 22 years Madge Lane who the family would like to thank for taking care of Dad until the end.
