Agnes Dover

Mrs. Dover, 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Marshall, NC, (Madison County), she formally worked as a Home Administrator in Burnsville & Shelby, NC. She also worked at First National Bank of Shelby, Belk in Marshall NC, and at Dover Mill Company for 25 years. She was a member of Dover Baptist Church, the V.F.W. Auxillary & the Cleveland Regional Medical Center Auxillary. Mrs. Dover was preceded in death by her parents Oren Leroy Rice & Bissie Runnion Rice, a brother E. J. Rice, and a sister Ora Lee Silver. Mrs. Dover is survived by her husband of 65 years Carl T. Dover Sr. of the home, two sons Dr. Carl Thomas Dover Jr. & wife Juanita of Williamston, NC, and Mike Dover & wife Cindy of Shelby, NC, and grandchildren; Casey Dover Peeler & husband Billy, Pam Dover Baldwin & husband Brad, Miles Thomas Dover & wife Nancy, Kenton Lane Dover & wife Maria, and great grandchildren; Carlee Dawn Peeler & Merit Grace Baldwin. In addition to these Mrs. Dover is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Bulo E. Price and Rev. Kenton Lane Dover.
