Amanda Ledbetter

August 5, 1948 — August 16, 2013

Mrs. Amanda Dale Deaton Ledbetter, age 65, of Shelby, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, SC. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Glenn Reed Deaton and Foy Bland Deaton. Mrs. Ledbetter had worked as a X-Ray Technician and later retired from Garner-Webb University food service division. She loved playing with her grandchildren, working puzzle books, and reading. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher. She truly loved and enjoyed her Willing Workers Class.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Deaton and sister, Nancy Ward.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years Lawrence Ledbetter; daughter, Holly Ledbetter of Shelby; son, Joe Ledbetter and wife Candace of Shelby; two grandchildren, Avery Loraine Ledbetter and Parker Newton Ledbetter; four sisters, Freida Griffin and husband Tommy of Spartanburg, SC., Glenda Loftis and husband Don of Shelby, Mary Jo Harvey and husband Chick of Rome, GA., and Becky Wilkins and husband David of Blacksburg, SC.; brother-in-law, Benny Ward of Cherryville; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at DCI Dialysis Clinic in Boiling Springs and to Joyce in ICU at McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in Little River, SC for the love and care they provided to Dale.
