Ann Humphries

September 10, 1934 — December 8, 2013

Ann Blanton Humphries, age 79, of Shelby, died on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Wendover Hospice House. A native of Cleveland County, she is the daughter of the late Bobby Rudasill and Nina Cabaniss Rudasill. Mrs. Humphries was a former active member and Sunday school teacher at Lafayette Street United Methodist Church where she had mentored numerous children. She is a current member at Zoar Baptist Church. She had worked and later retired from James Love Elementary School after 20 years of service as a teacher's assistant. Mrs. Humphries was loved by her many friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Gene B. Blanton; grandchild, Max Blanton; baby brother, Michael Rudasill.

She is survived by her husband of eight years, Clyde E. Humphries Sr. of the home; two sons, Reuben Blanton of Shelby and Byron R. Blanton of Greenville, SC; daughter, Nina Lynn Repeta and husband Michael of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Jessica Blanton, Sam Blanton, and Banks Repeta; sister, Ora Trivett of Shelby; brother, Robert Rudasill of Humble, TX. She is also survived by Clyde's children, Eddie and Teresa Humphries and their children, Christopher, Andrew, and Amanda; Ronnie and Mindy Humphries and their children, Mallory and Natalie.
