Ann Roe

SHELBY - Ann Heaven Roe, age 72, of Shelby, NC, passed away June 9, 2017 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
Born April 7, 1945 in Richmond, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Richard Ernest Heaven and Lillian Boyd Heaven. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Walter "Lee" Roe.
Ann was a member of Calvary Church in Charlotte. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Longwood College and retired from Charlotte Mecklenburg School System after 31 years of teaching.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Wilson and husband Lamar of Shelby; fiancé, Charles Cook of Shelby; nephew, Ian Wilson and wife Kelli; great-nephews, Caleb and Aidan Wilson; and great-niece, Abby Wilson.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends after the service at the graveside.
