Annie Black

Mrs. Annie Mae Black, age 88 of Shelby, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her daughters residence surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her children, Brenda Swafford of Spartanburg, SC, and Ricky Black of Shelby, NC, four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and several cousins.
Born January 3, 1930, in Rutherford County, Mrs. Black was the daughter of the late Albert and Lela Ramsey and was preceded in death by her husband, John Carlton Black and three brothers, Clarence, Robert, and James Ramsey.
Annie worked in textile for most of her life. She was a kind, giving, and warm hearted person. Annie enjoyed gardening, working in the yard, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She always brought a smile to your face and will be missed dearly by those that knew her.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory. A graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Thursday, 2018 at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Bostic.
