Ansel Harmon

Mr. Harmon, 86 of Boiling Springs, NC, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at Hospice @ Wendover. Born in Cherokee County, SC, Bud retired as a Truck Driver and Terminal Manager at P.P.G. Bud was a member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church, and a former member of the Boiling Springs Volunteer Fire Department, and served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. The family wiuld like to say a special thanks to the staff at Hospice at Wendover, and their home care for the excellent care given Mr. Harmon, and also a special thanks to Cathy Robertson for her excellent care. Mr. Harmon is preceded in death by his parents Hamie Wade Harmon and Emma Parris Harmon, and his wife Grace Cantrell Harmon, also sisters Gearldine Phillips, and special friend Mary Ellen McKinney. Mr. Harmon is survived by two sons Wade Harmon and wife Sue, Ansel Harmon Jr. and wife Pam, and a daughter Letha Bradley all of Boiling Springs, a brother Wilson Harmon and wife Dot of Winston-Salem, NC, and two sisters Bessie Davis of Clffside, and Rachel Phillips of Mooresboro, NC. Mr. Harmon's grandsons are John Harmon and wife Christa, Brad Harmon and wife Casey, Jerry Harmon, Chris Morrison and wife Brandy, Brian Morrison, snd Shane Bradley. In addition to these Mr. harmon is survived by 10 great grandchildren, and special friends Rodney and Jane Nolen of Boiling Springs. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Carroll Page pastor of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
