Barbara Bryant

Mrs. Barbara Jean Bryant, age 54 of Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel conducted by Rev. Keith Dixon and Rev. Shane Kirby. A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Flint Hill Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Randy Bumgardner.
She is survived by her husband 40 years, Fred Bryant of the home, a son, Barry Bryant of Shelby, NC, her mother, Imogene Alexander of Boiling Springs, NC, two brothers, Bobby Lee Mathis of Lawndale, NC and Ernest Mitchell Gettys of Shelby, NC, a sister Sue Lynn Moore and husband Robert of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Keely Marlow of Mooresboro, NC and Carter Bryant of Shelby, NC, a loving mother-in-law, Mae Ruth Bryant of Shelby, NC, two special friends, Sybil Sarratt of Shelby, NC and Shelia Bumgardner of Mooresboro, NC and a special caregiver, Linda Parker.
Born April 27, 1960 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Bryant was the daughter of Imogene (Humphries) Alexander and the late Walter Lee Mathis and was preceded in death by her grandparents, T.C. and Ella Humphries and Arthur and Willie Mathis, a father-in-law, Royce Bryant. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed camping, watching her son race and spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Humphries, Matthew Doster, Kyle Moore, Frankie Humphries, Keith Humphries, Randy Bumgardner, Adam Bumgardner, Travis Langley and Stevie Humphries.
