Barbara Callahan

Mrs. Callahan, 71, a native of Cleveland County, NC was the former owner of Callahan Travel & Cruise. She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church and a former member of P.E.O. Her parents were the late Walter Blackburn & Myrtle W. Blackburn, and she was also preceeded in death by a special nephew and godson Wesley Blackburn.
Mrs. Callahan is survived by her husband of 48 years Brevard Callahan of the home, a daughter and her husband Tonie Stahr Gibson Turner & Rev. Max "Macky" L. Turner Jr. of Shelby, a son Robert B. Callahan of Cherryville, NC. She is also survived by a granddaughter Brandy Turner Ward & Mike, grandsons Chris Callahan & fiance, Nichole & Derrick Callahan & fiance Melissa, great granddaughters Keelee Ann Jones, Bailee Jones, & Kinslee Jones, and bonus great grandchildren Taylor Horne & Gage Horne. Mrs. Callahan is also survived by brothers and sisters Ronnie Blackburn & wife Linda of Shelby, Gerane Rippy & husband Richard of Grover, & Renee Stewart & husband Tony of Kings Mountain, NC, along with several special nieces and nephews.
