Ben Bowen

Mr. Bowen, 74, of Shelby, NC, passed away Monday, February 6, 2012 at his home. Mr. Bowen was born in Cleveland County, and retired from Fiber Industries where he worked 31 years in the maintenance department. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Mr. Bowen was the son of the late Floyd Bowen & Louise Bowen and was also preceded in death by 2 stepchildren, Todd Wyatt & Kim Wyatt, one granddaughtr Kelli Walker and one brother, Billy. Mr. Bowen is survived by his wife, Frances Bowen of the home, two daughters, Tammy Walker & husband Dana of Shelby, and Lori Mathis of the home, grandchildren, Matthew Walker, Shane Bailey, Krista Bailey, Jilena Mathis, Josh Mathis and one great grandchild Cohen Ford. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Black, Dr. Paul Sorrells and Rev. Phil Hughes.
