Benjamin Lemons

Mr. Benjamin Larry Lemons, 75, of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at Peak Resources of Shelby.  A native of Cleveland County, Mr. Lemons was the son of the late Benjamin Elzie Lemons and Sudie Bailey Lemons. He worked at Ora Mill for 15 years and later retired from Container Corporation. He liked motorcycles and auto racing. He was of the Baptist faith.



In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deana Wright; two sisters, Lucille Lemons and Elizabeth Carpenter; one brother, Floyd Lemons.



He is survived by his wife, Susan Jenkins Lemons, of the home; one daughter, Peggy Elswick, of Johnson City, TN; one brother, Harold Lemons and wife Brenda, of Lattimore; two sisters, Joyce Gardner, of Shelby and Brenda Wheat, of Gaffney, SC; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
