Betty Banning Holland, 83, passed away on Tuesday July 20, 2021 at Wendover Hospice.
She is survived by a daughter Janice Beam and husband, Scott of Shelby, NC, a son William Clyde Holland and wife, Elaine of Sunshine, NC, a brother Wilbur Max Banning of Boiling Springs, NC, four grandchildren, April Dawn Holland Causey and husband, Tim of Crossfield, TN, Thomas Jay Holland of Sunshine, NC, Shanna Christine Beam of Virginia Beach, VA, and David Scott Beam II and wife, Gabrielle of Shelby, NC.
Born in Cleveland County on February 6, 1938, Betty was the daughter of the late Joe Clyde Banning and Ester Louise Morrow Banning. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Boyce Holland as well as a sister, Judith Faye Banning Lewis.
Betty was a proud lifelong member at Boiling Springs Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School class and was active in contributing and donating for the church. Betty was a devoted mother and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. However, she was especially fond of her cat, Pretty Boy. Betty will be remembered to all who knew her for being a devoted friend and an Elvis enthusiast.
A Funeral Service will be held at Boiling Springs Baptist Church on Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00am with a visitation held one hour prior. A burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
