Betty Lynch

Mrs. Betty Lou Dyer Lynch, age 80 of Cleveland County, NC, went home to be with Jesus on March 2, 2015 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was the daughter of the late Daniel and Gertie Dyer. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Dyer Costner, two brothers, Robert Daniel Dyer and Billy Gene Dyer. She was born in Cleveland County on June 29, 1934. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Shelby.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Phillip C. Lynch. She is also survived by a son Phillip Douglas Lynch and wife Sandy of Boiling Springs, a daughter Cathy Lynch Patrick and husband Charles E. of Randleman, son Drew Lynch and wife Lynne of Kings Mountain. She was the proud grandmother of six and great-grandmother of nine. She had numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
She was a faithful servant of her Savior, a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved her church family with all her heart.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Morning Star Baptist Church, 832 South Post Road, Shelby, conducted by Rev. Keith Linzy, Rev. Ron Lesley, and Rev. Charlie Patrick. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Church. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
