Billy Davis

Mr. Billy Dean Davis, 86, passed away June 5, 2022 at Atrium Health-Cleveland. A native of Cleveland County, he was born on March 3, 1936, son of the late Charlie and Edna Bowen Davis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Anderson Davis, one son, Michael Dean Davis, three brothers, Earl, JB, and Jack Davis, one sister, Betty Moore.

Mr. Davis is survived by one son, Ricky Dean Davis, one daughter, Lisa Cogdell (Randy) all of Shelby, one brother, CL Davis, one sister, Mary Hoyle, six grandchildren, Mindy Cogdell (CJ), Melania Cogdell (Mark), Daniel Davis (Anna-Drake), Kaylah Davis, Donivan White, Jason White (Ashlyn), three great grandchildren, Emma Davis, Lily Davis, and Isaiah Beaver.

The family will receive friends Tuesday June 7, 2022, at Cleveland Funeral Service and Crematory from 6-8pm.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm Wednesday June 8, 2022, in the chapel of Cleveland Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Shane Adkins. Burial will immediately follow at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.
