Billy William Donahue Sr.

Mr. Billy William Donahue Sr., age 77 of Rutherfordton, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at his residence.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dorothy Owens Donahue of the home, children, Billy Donahue Jr., Ozel Donahue, and Bob Donahue, all of Barnwell, SC, grandchildren, Jordan Pruett (Carissa) of Rutherfordton, NC, Josh Donahue of Jacksonville, FL, and Austin Donahue of Shelby, NC, great grandchildren, Dominic Pruett and Payton Pruett, a brother, Michael Donahue (Martha) of Fairfax, SC, two sisters, Daisy Stanley of Fairfax, SC, and Doris Donahue of Beach Island, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born on July 25, 1941 in Hampton County, SC, Billy was the son of the late Owen and Eula Stanley Donahue and was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Pruett.
Billy was a loving husband, devoted grandfather and a dear friend. Bill was the kind of person that never met a stranger and welcomed people with open arms. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. Bill owned and operated a produce stand where he enjoyed providing food to the community.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Leon Brown. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
