Callie Brown

Mrs. Brown, 86, of 1570 Princess Lane, Shelby, NC passed away Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009 at her home. A native of Abbeville, Ala. she was a homemaker and worked in Home Care as a C.N.A. for 20 years. She was a member of Christopher Road Baptist Church. Mrs. Brown was preceeded in death by her patents Joe Skeen & Frances Matilda Hickman Skeen, her husand Leonard Matthew "Skint" Brown, a daughter Anna Sue Brown Maudy, one brother and two sisters. Mrs. Brown is survived by a son Robert Wayne Brown of Illinois, four daughters Shirley Platt & husband Raymond of Apopka, Fla., Judy Potter, Nancy Burch & husband David, and Wanda Parker & special friend Jimmy Greene all of Shelby, and a sister Pearline Woods of Eufaula, AL. In addition to these she is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, & 8 great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted by the Rev. Mike Davis pastor of Wekiwa Springs Baptist Church in Apopka, Fla. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
