Carver Warren Sr.

Mr. Carver James Warren Sr., age 80 of Shelby, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 7, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel conducted by Rev. Glenn Walker and Rev. Max Turner. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Patterson Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
Born June 25, 1934 in Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Johnny North and Gattie Lee Waters Warren and was preceded in death by four brothers, J.L. Warren, Fate Alvin Warren, William Warren, and Bill Warren and four sisters, Connie Jean Warren - infant, Inez Philbeck, Annie Ray Ramsey, and Muriel Panther.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ethel Lemons Warren; children, Debbie Warren Watkins and husband Joe, Jamie Warren Johnson and husband Tinker, Jimmy Warren and wife Lisa, and Lori W. Warren and husband Darrell; grandchildren, Geoffery Wease and wife Rhonda, David Johnson and wife Kim, Jennifer Johnson Melton and husband Josh, Jessica Warren, Ashley Warren Harmon and husband Jeremy, D.J. Warren and fiancé Cheyenne York, C.J. Warren, Jacob Warren, Heath Boyles and wife Judy, and Kurt Boyles; great grandchildren, Tyler Wease, Lucas Wease, Hayden Wease, Makenzie Johnson, SaraBeth Melton, Maizy Boyles and Jeremiah Boyles; brothers, Howard Warren and wife Mary Helen and Nelson Faye Warren and many nieces and nephews and a special pet companion, Sissy.
James worked and retired from Minette Mills of Grover as a Loom Fixer. He was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church. After retirement, he enjoyed working in the garden, tinkering with small engines, and spending time with his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cleveland County Humane Society, 1609 E. Marion Street, Shelby NC 28150.
