Catherine Parks

Catherine Juanita Parks, age 73 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 10, 2021.

She is survived by her children, Donald C. Henderson (Renee) of Shelby, NC, Carolyn Bennett Smith (Jerry Goode) of Spartanburg, SC, and Ella Jo Price of Spartanburg, SC, five grandchildren, Matthew Henderson, Sean Henderson, Beth Smith (Johnny), Brandie Summers (Josh), and Joseph Gibson (Shayla), five great grandchildren, Kaytlynn Ross, Peyton Summers, Zoey Ross, Christian Summers, and Alaeynha Summers, and a brother, Douglas Bennett (Jean) of Shelby, NC.

Born November 7, 1947 in Fairfield County, SC, Catherine was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella Mae Bennett and was preceded in death by her fiancé, Johnny Rohrer, and a brother, Richard Bennett.

Catherine was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.   Catherine was a family oriented person that loved nature, fishing, and her family.  She was the kind of person that never met a stranger.  Catherine would always bring a smile to your face and will be dearly missed by those that knew her.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, October 22, 2021 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 23, 2021 at the House of Prayers Cemetery.
