Charles Fowler

Mr. Charles A. Fowler, 73, of Shelby, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara Sue Allen Fowler of the home, two daughters, Robin Fowler Harris and husband Scott of Mooresboro, NC, and Tiffany Fowler Blanton and husband Michael of Lincolnton, NC, eight grandchildren, Abigail Peeler, Jesse Peeler, Anthony Stiles, Kristi Stiles, Courtney Harris, Alanna Blanton, Jacob Blanton, and Greg Russo, a great granddaughter, Gabby Fordyce, three sisters, Carolyn Craig, Doris Whisnant, and Elizabeth Elmore, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born December 30, 1942 in Cleveland County, Mr. Fowler was the son of the late Wesley Fowler and Ruby Roberson Fowler and was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Fowler and four sisters, Nellie Wade, Dorothy Burns, Linda Robbins, and Betty Fowler.
Mr. Fowler worked and retired from Eaton Corporation where he worked as a machinist. He was a faithful member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. He loved his Southern Gospel music and was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball and Crest Charger football fan. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 pm Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Men on Mission, Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 123 Beaver Dam Church Road, Shelby NC 28152.
