Charles Webb

February 20, 1935 — May 20, 2012

A native of Cleveland County, Mr. Webb was the son of the late Yates Everette Webb and Morie Wright Webb of Shelby.  He retired from textiles where he was in corporate quality control and was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.



He was also preceded in death by a son, Chappell Parton, & a daughter, Kristin Andrews Tucker.



He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Hobart Webb, of the home; a sons Charles Martin Webb, II and wife, Cindy, of  Shelby; daughters Sandra Webb Dillingham of Statesville and Penny Parton McDade

and husband, Greg of Huntersville; a sister, Mary Ruth Webb Whitaker and husband, Wayne of Shelby; an aunt, Irene Wright of Shelby; and grandchildren, Natalie Webb Ramsey, Chase Webb, Melissa Church, Megan Megan Benfield, Mariah Smith, Connie Martin, Jacob Martin, Emerald Martin, Jessica Webb Spurling, Heather Webb Royster, Tyler Parton, Chelsea Patton, Cathleen Sue Dover and Nickolas Dover.  He is also survived by a number of great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew.



The family would like to extend a special thanks to the entire David and Patricia Hobart family and dear friends, Charles and Sally Jones, for the support shown to Charles.



The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, 5:30 - 7;00

with the funeral folowing at 7:30 p.m.  Burial will be held in the church cemetery, Friday at 11:00 a.m.

The Rev. Keith Dixon will officiate.

Cleveland Funeral Services & Crematory is serving the family.
