Charlotte Smith

Mrs. Smith, 62, of 5103 Spring Lane, Shelby, NC, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation Center in Rutherfordton, NC. A native of Cleveland County, she had worked at Fiber Industries in the spinning department and was a member of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her father Ralph Oliver Davis. Mrs. Smith is survived by her mother Virginia Dare Bivins Davis of Lattimore, NC, her husband Bobby G. Smith of the home, three sons Russell S. Ropp of Shelby, Richard S. Ropp and wife Tracy of Boiling Springs, NC, and Patrick G. Smith of Shelby, a daughter Kimberly A. Childers and husband Christopher of Gaffney, SC, a brother Douglas Eugene Davis of Shelby, and a sister Lois Nanney of Lattimore. In addition to these Mrs. Smith has grandchildren; Austin Ropp, Brandon Ropp, Makayla Childers, Dustin Childers, Kati Ropp, Ryan Ropp, Emilee Smith & Jacob Smith. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Michael Chambers pastor of Christian Freedom Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC.
