Clifford Cogdell

Clifford Allen Cogdell, age 78 of Shelby, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah Lynn Walker Cogdell of the home, his children, Tammy Mooney (Chuck) of Shelby, NC, Randy Cogdell (Lisa) of Shelby, NC, Rodney Cogdell (Rosanna) of Shelby, NC, a stepdaughter, Shelley Packer of Shelby, NC, eleven grandchildren, Mindy Cogdell, Steven Heavner, Melania Cogdell, John Stapleton, Jason Stapleton, Chelsea Wilson, Casey Wilson, Lydia Cogdell, Brittany Harnish, Taylor Packer, and Dustin Gilbert three great grandchildren, Mia Heavner, Isaiah Beaver and Ezekiel Bolin, three brothers, Clarence Cogdell (Barbara) of Shelby, NC, Bobby Dean Cogdell (Robin) of Shelby, NC, and David Cogdell (Sherry) of Casar, NC, three sisters, Betty Mellon of Casar, NC, Aileen Cogdell of Casar, NC, and Brenda Smith (Larry) of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews and one special nephew, Lee Cogdell of Shelby, NC.

Born February 24, 1944 in Cleveland County, Clifford was the son of the late Clarence Gordon Cogdell and Lillie Bell Jenkins Cogdell. Clifford’s passion was spending time with his family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by those that knew him.

The family will conduct a Memorial Service at a later date.
