Clyde Jones

Clyde Edmond Jones, age 77 of Shelby, passes away Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at Peak Resources in Shelby.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Morrison and husband Brian of Shelby, NC, a granddaughter, Nicole Walker and husband Justin of Shelby, NC, a great grandson, Henry Walker, a sister, Donnis Smith of Ellenboro, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born November 30, 1942 in Rutherford County, Clyde was the son of the late Odell and Louise (Smart) Jones and was preceded in death by two brothers, G.W. Jones and Max Jones, and a sister, Shirley White.

Clyde worked and retired from Cones Mill.  He later retired from Merit Distribution Group in Chesnee, SC.  Clyde enjoyed playing bingo in Gaffney, SC, and Cherokee, NC.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his great grandson, Henry.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date and announced by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ross Grove Baptist Church, 1225 Fallston Rd, Shelby, NC 28150.
