Daniel Cleveland Poston

Mr. Daniel "Dan" C. Poston, age 84 of Shelby, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Atrium Health in Shelby.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Norma Kendrick Poston of the home, two children, Mark Poston and Dana Poston, both of Shelby, NC, three grandchildren, Marista Poston and fiancé Marty Lockridge of Kings Mountain, NC, Thomas Poston of Lattimore, NC, and Jacob Williams and wife Katie of Polkville, NC, two great grandchildren, Abigal and Hudson Williams, a brother, Ronald Poston of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born November 20, 1933 in Cleveland County, Mr. Poston was the son of the late Clyde Graham Poston Sr. and Ruth Elizabeth Leonard Poston and was preceded in death by six brothers, Clyde Poston Jr., Claude Poston, Jerry Poston, Donald Poston, D.J. Poston, and Glenn Poston, three sisters, Annie Poston Wiley, Edna Poston Glover, and Barbara Poston Grayson.
A visitation will be held from 3:00 - 4:00 pm Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 4:00 pm at the church conducted by Rev. Andrew Corley. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
