Dean Bowen

Mr. Bowen, 64 of 3682 Robert Ridings Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Bowen had been employed and retired from Ellis-Bowen Floor Covering and Carpet. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, a Vietnam Veteran and served in the U. S. Army as a Helicopter Crew Chief. He was a member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America. Me. Bowen was preceeded in death by his parents Garland Victor Bowen & Nellie Catherine Poole Bowen, a grandson J. D. Bowen and a brother Howard Victor Bowen. Mr. Bowen is survived by three sons James Dean Bowen of Boca Raton, Florida, Kevin Charles Bowen & wife Cindy of Shelby, TSGT. Mitchell Waynd Bowen & wife Dawm of Barksdale A.F.B., Louisiana, three brothers Garland Junior Bowen & wife Betty, Thomas Dwight Bowen & wife Hester, and Bobby Gene Bowen & wife Shirley all of Shelby, a sister Martha Jane Crosby & husband G. C. of Shelby. In addition to these Mr. Bowen's grandchildren are Triston Bowen, Brandon Stillwell, Alicia Stillwell, Amber Stillwell, Amber Bowen, Elizabeth Bowen, Miranda Bowen, Austin Bowen & Avery Bowen, and 4 great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will conducted by the Rev's Jimmy Black, Phil Hughes and Mel Campos.
