Dean Dobbins

Mr. Dobbins, 66, of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his home. A native of Rutherford County, NC, he retired from Duke Power Company as a commodities coordinator. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he was a former deacon. Mr. Dobbins also served in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Dobbins is preceded in death by his parents Charles W. Dobbins & Faye Estep Dobbins, a son Jason Dean Dobbins, and his father-in-law Boyd Luckadoo. Suvivors include his wife Gail Luckadoo Dobbins of the home, a grandson Andy Dean Dobbins also of the home, three brothers and their wives Bobby Dobbins & Kay of Greenville, SC, Billy Dobbins & Susan of Kings Port, TENN, Joel Dobbins & Heidi of Boiling Springs, NC, two sisters and their husbands Phyllis Parker & Jerry of Mooresboro, NC, and Judy Crow & Ray of Mooresboro, NC, a mother-in-law Joyce Luckadoo of Mooresboro, NC, a brother-in-law and his wife Gerald Luckadoo & Shirley of Salisbury, NC, a daughter-in-law and husband Keri Dobbins Bryant & Billy and their children Bailee Bryant, Melia Bryant & Wade Bryant all of Polkville, NC. In addition to these Mr. Dobbins is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Todd Bolin, Rev. Shirley Luckadoo, and Joel Dobbins.
