Deborah Cogdell

Mrs. Deborah Lynn Cogdell, 70, passed away, Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Carolina’s Continue CARE in Pineville. A native of Rutherford County, she was born December 3, 1951, daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Bright Walker. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Cogdell, who passed away on April 10, 2022.

Deborah was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who loved taking day trips with the family. One of her passions was sitting on the front porch bird watching with her husband, Clifford. Clifford made most of the bird houses that were displayed in their yard.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelley Packer of Shelby; two granddaughters, Brittany Harnish and Taylor Packer; three brothers; Steve Walker and wife Donnis, Johnny Walker and wife Janet, and Ronnie Walker all of Shelby; two sisters, Jan Cartee and Lisa Brown both of Shelby; two step sons; Rodney Cogdell and wife Rosanna of Boiling Springs, Randy Cogdell and wife Lisa of Shelby; one step daughter, Tammy Mooney and husband Chuck of Boiling Springs; four step grandchildren, Chelsea Wilson, Casey Wilson, Mindy Cogdell, and Melania Cogdell; one step great grandchild, Isaiah Beaver.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Thursday May 5, 2022 for her and her husband Clifford at Cleveland Memorial Park, officiated by Rev. Keith Dixon. Family will greet friends after the graveside service.
