Dewey Turner Jr.

Dewey Agustas Turner Jr., age 76 of Shelby, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at Atrium Health in Shelby.

He is survived by a brother, John Turner (Joyce) of Shelby, NC, three sisters, Katherine ward of Gaffney, SC, Judy Hamby (Jerry) of Thicketty, SC, and Betty Jean Weaver of Gaffney, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Born September 13, 1944 in Cherokee County, SC, Dewey was the son of the late Dewey A. Turner Sr. and Margaret Gladden Turner and was preceded in death by a brother, William Turner and three sisters, Elizabeth Lafevers, Lulcille Earney, Annie Robbins, and Nancy Smith.

Dewey was a truck driver for most his life.  He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends and family.
