Dolores Butler

Mrs. Dolores R. Butler, age 59 of New House, passed away on December 19, 2018 at Atrium Health - Cleveland.
She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Earl Butler of the home, her mother Wilma Russell of Shelby, NC, a daughter LaVonda Whitener of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Damond Morris and Cierra McSwain and husband Dylan, one great grandchild, Braiden McSwain.
She was born in McDowell County, on July 24, 1959 to the late James T. Russell and Audrea J. Roland.
Mrs. Butler was a member of Polkville Baptist Church and loved the Lord. Dolores frequently attended other church services at Beaver Damn Baptist Church as well as others where she encouraged her friends to join her. Dolores was a very inspirational woman. Mrs. Butler enjoyed taking trips to Myrtle Beach, SC with her loving husband and sharing time with him. She also enjoyed listening to country music. Dolores was loved by her husband and family dearly.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Funeral services will be held at Cleveland Funeral Services on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at 11:00am. A burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery.
