Don Thomas

Mr. Thomas, 63, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was Co-owner & Operator of Harvest Fresh Produce. He was a beloved husband, father, papa & friend and will be deeply missed by all. He was an avid businessman who never met a stranger. One never had to question what he was thinking. He loved dirt track racing with his grandson Reid and his 1957 Chevy Nomad. He couldn't resist a flea market or a bargin. He loved his #1 girl, Bella, who was with him wherever he went. He LOVED his "Little Family" and would do anything for anyone. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his parents J.D. Thomas & Marie Clark Wease, a daughter Donna Marie Thomas, and a sister Shelia Jones. Mr. Thomas is survived by his wife Candace Moore Thomas of the home, two daughters Deborah Anne Leak & husband James of Garner, NC, Candace Cruz & husband Mark of Shelby, two brothers Eddie Wease of Grover, and Scott Wease of Alabama. Mr. Thomas has grandchildren Reid Thomas and girlfriend Jessica Stewart, Amber Leak, James Leak, Noah Thomas, and MAC Cruz, and a great grandson Jaylen Thomas Leak. In addition to these Mr. Thomas is also survived by his mother-in-law Loretta Moore of Kings Mountain, and the #1 Girl Bella. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Steve Waters.
