Donald Poston

Mr. Poston, 66, of Boiling Springs, NC, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Cleveland County, NC, he was the son of the late Clyde Graham Poston Sr. & Ruth Elizabeth Leonard Poston. Donald Lee was retired as a Captain at the Cleveland County Sheriff's Department, was a U. S. Army veteran, served in Korea and was a veteran of the Vietnam war. He had been a part-time employee of Cleveland Funeral Services since the funeral home opened in 1997 and was also a part-time employee of McKinney-Landreth Funeral Home. He enjoyed working with his wife Cathy at the Outer Limits Salon and Spa. He was a loving husband, father, and papa. Donald Lee was a permanent fixture at the Cleveland County Fair for over forty years. Wherever he went, he never met a stranger. In addition to his parents Donald Lee is preceeded in death by three brothers; Claude Poston, Jerry Poston and Clyde Poston Jr., and a sister Edna Poston Glover. Donald Lee is survived by his wife Cathy Mowery Poston of the home, two daughters and their husbands; Leah P. Burroughs and Justin of Ft. Mill, SC, Candice P. Beam & Clint of Shelby, three grandchildren Abby Beam, Molly Beam & Kinley Burroughs. Donald Lee is also survived by two sisters Barbara Kay Grayson of Shelby, and Annie Wiley of Boiling Springs, NC, four brothers; Dan C. Poston & wife Norma, D. J. Poston, Glenn Poston, and Ronald Douglas Poston all of Shelby, two sisters-in-law Barbara Poston of Miami, FLA, and Jeanette J. Poston of Shelby. Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Tim Trexler pastor of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Shelby, NC.
