Donald (Papa Don) Bell

Mr. Donald Howard Bell, 76, passed away peacefully in his sleep, early Tuesday December 6, 2022.

Born in Cleveland County on January 24, 1946, Mr.Bell was the son of the late Jack Howard and Margaret Holcomb Bell He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Joy Yelton Bell, one sister, Peggy Goins.,

He is survived by three children, Mark Bell and wife Joan of Shelby, Alecia Chinn and husband Andy of Wilmington, NC, and Jason Bell and wife Kimberly of Jacksonville, NC; three siblings, Rex Bell and wife Linda of Shelby, Doris Blanton of Boiling Springs, and Mickey Bell of Gaffney, SC; 13 grandchildren, Jaron Bell, Jasmine Thompson, Caitlyn McTavish, Brianna, Gabe, and Elana Vanderhaar, McKenzie, Savannah, Micah, Eli, Isaac, Luke, and Zoey Bell; three great grandchildren, Jaxson, Salem, and Sage. Also, some very special nieces and nephews.

Papa Don leaves behind a legacy of love and care for his family. The void is great but we are comforted with the knowledge that he is celebrating with his Father in heaven.

A Funeral service will be held at 2pm Thursday December 8, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Sims officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1pm at the church. Burial will be at Cleveland Memorial Park immediately after the service on Thursday.
