Donna Respess

Donna Respess, age 66, passed away at her residence on April 22, 2021.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel Respess of Shelby, NC, a son Randall Wright, Jr. and wife Tracy of Iron Station, NC, two grandchildren, Stephenie Causey, and husband, Chase of Dallas, NC, Makenzie Aldridge, and husband, Adam of Iron Station, NC, two great grandchildren, Baylor Causey and Bodyn Causey, a brother, Delane Hayes, and wife Betty of Memphis, TN, and two sisters, Vicky Parker, and husband, Hughlee of Casar, NC, and Sherrie Houck and husband, Clyde, of Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County, NC on July 5, 1954, Donna was the daughter of the late John Hayes and Jessie Church Goins.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Michelle Wright.

Donna enjoyed gardening and loved the outdoors. She was affectionately called Maw-Maw Donna by her grandchildren and she loved baking with them. She was especially proud of her son, Randall who has worked hard in life to become successful. Donna loved spending time with her husband Daniel and chased waterfalls whenever they could.

A graveside service will be held at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby, NC on April 25, 2021 at 1:00pm.
