Doris Scruggs

Mrs. Scruggs had been a waitress for 50 years and retired from Western Steer. She was a loving wife of 64 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, a people person and a military wife who traveled the world. She was a member of Sandy Plains Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude E. Childers &Alice Magdalene Owens Childers; daughters, Alice "Dede" Williams, Kay Mock & Linda Tan; brother, Jimmy Childers; sisters, Sue Bostic & Mary Hallman; granddaughter Cindy' great granddaughter Melissa. She is survived by her husband, Odis Lee Scruggs, Sr. of the home, sons Odis Lee "Bo" Scruggs, Jr. of Fallston, Robert "Skeeter"Scruggs of the home; daughters, Charlotte Little of Concord, Vicki Howze of the home, Sallie Scruggs Norton & husband Danny of Asheville; sister, Martha Mendez and husband Jose of Gaffney; brother, Allen Childers & wife Joyce of Yorktown, VA; Sister-In-Law Betty Childers of Gaffney; grandchildren, Tiffy Tan, Kerry Sangston, Tommy, Robby & Christy Bates, Doug & Scott Little, Ricky, Jay & Jeff Thomas, Kim Lancester, Kelli Howze, Robert "Buster", Anna, Joey, Tyler, Jenny & Haley Scruggs. Also survived by 28 great grandchildren & 5 great great grandchildren.
