Dorothy Causby Davis

Mrs. Dorothy Marie Causby Davis, age 90 of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby.
She is survived by two daughters, Edith Chapman and husband Frank and Judy Davis, both of Shelby, NC; five grandchildren, Mickey Chapman, Scarlette Chapman, Ryan Skibo, Chris Skibo, and Audrey Lewis; ten great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and a special friend, Judy Bolick.
Born September 7, 1927 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Edward and Mary Bailey Causby and was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, George Clifford Davis, a son, James Clifford Davis, six sisters, and seven brothers.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Dennis Boyce. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sandy Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at Cleveland Pines for the care that they gave Dorothy during her time there.
