Dorothy Mcentyre

July 9, 1932 — September 16, 2014

Dorothy Joyce McEntyre, age 82, formerly of Mooresboro NC, and most recently of Stephens, GA and Brantford, Ontario, Canada, passed away Tuesday, September 16th, 2014 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute, in Buffalo, NY. Memorial service will be held 11am Friday, September 19th, 2014 at the Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel conducted by her son, Timothy McCurry. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
She is survived by her sons Dale McCurry and wife, Sonya; Tim McCurry and wife, Charmian; grandchildren Trent McCurry and wife Christa; Casey McCurry, Trey McCurry, Gregory Francis, Georgie Francis and husband Declan Quigley, David McCurry and Kestra McCurry; and eleven great grandchildren.
Born July 9th, 1932 in Morgan Township, Rutherford County, NC, Mrs. McEntyre was the daughter of Woodrow and Verdie (Robertson) Arrowood, and was preceded in death by her husband, Joel McEnytre and her daughter, Andeena Skruggs .
Dorothy was known for her joy of gardening, her gifts of music and song-writing, her tireless expressions of care and creativity through gifts of crochet work and her ability to befriend every stranger. She generously shared her deep faith with all and any. The hallmark of her remarkable life was her rich and unwavering love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of the 5th Floor West, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, for their great kindness, integrity, skill and compassion.
