Douglas Lewis

Douglas Wayne Lewis, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby, NC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Nancy Lewis of Shelby, two sons Wayne Lewis of Kings Mountain, and Frank Lewis and wife Shanna of Mooresboro, two grandchildren, Joshua and Kyle Lewis, two sisters, Susie Rudisill of Myrtle Beach, SC, Pam Kirkland and husband Don of Spartanburg, SC, and a brother, Richard Price of Gaffney, SC.

Born in Princess Anne County, Virginia on December 28, 1943, he was the son of the late Flora Mae Lewis Price. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Shell, Diane Walker, Geraldine Holtzclaw, Gail Pennington, and two brothers, James Price and Bill Price.

Wayne was a devout member of Race Path Baptist Church for over 40 years where he taught Sunday School. Mr. Lewis enjoyed taking pictures of churches and wildlife. He also liked to spend time with his family, playing cards, and putting together puzzles as well as seek and find books.

A Memorial Service will be held at Cleveland Funeral Services on Wednesday, October 2nd, 2019 at 1:00pm.
