Duel Davis

Mr. Davis, 74, of 1211 Cleveland Avenue, Grover, NC, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cherokee County, SC, he retired from Celanese Corporation after 26 years of service. He was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Army. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Wilburn Davis & Mary Jo Rose Davis, and his wife Eva Jo Davis. Mr. Davis is survived by two sons Ronald Davis & wife Kristy of Grover, and Roger Davis & wife Donnis of Shelby, two brothers Ed Murphy Jr. and Danny Murphy both of Maryville, TENN., grandchildren Mischia Taylor & husband Greg, Jennifer Davis and Hal Alexander, and great grandchildren Brycen Taylor & Elease Taylor, and a special friend Doris Mertz. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Healthy at Home and Hospice of Cleveland County for their special care of Mr. Davis.
