Earline Hughes

Mrs. Hughes, 81, of 116 Pine Street, Shelby, NC passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Cleveland Pines Nursing Center in Shelby, NC. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she was a loving wife and mother. She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church of Shelby. Mrs. Hughes was preceeded in death by her parents Zim Watts & Nora Mae Brady Watts, a brother Z. W. Watts and a sister Irene Warlick. Mrs. Hughes is survived by her husband of 62 years Herman Hughes of the home, two sons Billy Hughes and wife Cindy, and Marc Hughes both of Shelby, one daughter Jean Peeler and husband Hugh also of Shelby. Mrs. Hughes is also survived by granchildren Brian Hughes and Pamela Weaver and husband Scott, and a great grandson Bradley Weaver. In addition to these she is also survived by a brother Carl Watts and wife Beverly, a sister Blondzine Torzillo, and a special nephew Greg Torzillo all of Shelby, and also a niece Kathy Stanley and nephews Kenneth & Chris Warlick. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Reginald Dawkins pastor of Second Baptist Church of Shelby. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, 1114 South Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
