Edwin Joe Harrelson

Mr. Edwin Joe Harrelson, 80, of Kings Mountain, passed away November 19, 2016 at Peak Resources of Shelby.
He is survived by two sisters, Janice H. Brackett of Lawndale, NC, and Phyllis Sweezy and husband James of Kings Mountain, NC, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Tinker Bell. Born August 22, 1936 in Cleveland County, Mr. Harrelson was the son of the late Marvin Ralph Harrelson and Annie Mae McSwain Harrelson and was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Caroline Wright Harrelson and a brother, Marvin Ned Harrelson.
Mr. Harrelson worked and retired from Suburban Propane as a truck driver. He enjoyed fishing, cooking barbeque, and spending time with his family and friends. Joe was freehearted and would do anything to help others. He was witty and had a great since of humor.
A graveside memorial services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, November 25, 2016 at Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.
