Ellen Mcswain

LATTIMORE - Ellen Patricia Bridges McSwain, age 75, of Lattimore, NC, passed away June 14, 2017 at her residence, after a courageous 14 year battle against breast cancer.
Born September 15, 1941 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Charles Bridges and Ruby Carpenter Grant Bridges. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bobby Bridges, Dwella Sam Grant, Jack Grant, Ellamae Parrish and Wanda Gettys.
Patricia was a member of Lattimore Baptist Church, where she served as church secretary for 20+ years. She was also Lattimore's Town Clerk for 19 years.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James "Ed" McSwain; daughter, Kelly McSwain-Campbell and son-in-law Kelly of Belmont; two grandchildren, Grace Campbell and Layne Campbell; siblings, Charles "Whitey" Bridges, Jane Ventor, Randy Grant, William Grant, Barbara Ann Lail and Dot Curry.
A memorial service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Lattimore Baptist Church with Reverend Alton Beal and Reverend Billy Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Lattimore Baptist Church, Susan G. Komen Foundation, or Hospice of Cleveland County.
