Eugene Ramsey

Mr. Ramsey, 91, of Shelby, NC, passed away Saturday, Feb, 28, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. Mr. Ramsey was a superintendant when he retired from Mello Teer Company after 27 years of service. Mr. Ramsey was a member of First Baptist Church in Rogersville, Tenn. and a avid Golfer.

Mr. Ramsey was preceeded in death by his parents Everett Edward and Martha Sue Goodin Ramsey, a brother Robert E. Ramsey and a sister Mary Florence Gent.

Mr. Ramsey is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Mary Elizabeth Snider Ramsey of the home, a son and daughter-in-law Gene Ross Ramsey $ Lynn of Gray, Tenn., two daughters Mike R. Hoyt & husband Bill of Shelby, NC, & Mary Florence R. Latham of Rocky Mount, NC. His grandchildren are Scotti Sammons, Lance Howell, Morgan Hughes, Tina Johnson, Brian Ramsey, Paige Davis and Ramsey Latham, and great grandchildren Lynnzie Johnson, Branson Latham, Christopher Page and Brittney Hughes.

Memorial services will be conducted by Rev. Luke Harkey pastor at Shelby Presbyterian Church and Rev. Allen Huff.
