Evelyn Greene

Mrs. Greene, 81, of 107 Elam Rd., Lawndale, NC passed away Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. A native of Cleveland County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie Thomas Haynes and Lula May Wilson Haynes. She had worked as an account executive at Lily Mill Company and retired from Fasco. She was a member of Second Baptist church and the Lily Mill Old Timers Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by a stepson, Travis Greene, brothers Earl Haynes, William Haynes, Warren Haynes, Max Haynes and Steve Haynes and sisters Hester Ward & Vangie Nix. Mrs. Greene is survived by her husband Luther "Luke" Greene of the home, a daughter and her husband Fredia Charlene Harris & Johnny of Fort Mills, SC, sons Ronald Bivins of Waco, NC, Richard Bivins and wife Carla of Shelby. Mrs. Greene's grandchildren are Jonathan Bivins, Adam Bivins, Sarah Bradley & husband Steve, great grandchildren Christopher Bivins, Jack Bradley, Carli Bivins & Matthew Sitzes. In addition to these she is also survived by brothers Maurice Haynes & wife Louise of Wilmington, NC, Larry Haynes & wife Anne of Newport News, VA. and Charlie Haynes Jr. of Shelby, and one sister Dorothy Sisk of Shelby. Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Reginald Dawkins pastor of Second Baptist Church of Shelby, NC.
