Everette Wilson

Mr. Everette Wilson, 91, formerly of Shelby, passed away at Peak Resources of Cherryville on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.  A  native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Alexander Bowell Wilson and Mattie Jane Glascoe Wilson and was also preceded in death by a brother, Truman Wilson; and sisters, Cora & Alda Wilson, Janie Jones & Mozelle Lemons.



He is survived by a niece, Jane Vaughn of Greenville, NC and a great nephew, Dennis Wilson, who has been his caregiver for the last 15 years.



He was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.  He served in the U. S. Army Transportation Corp during WWII.  Prior to retirement, he worked at Shelby Dye & Finishing, Shelby Mill and as a farmer.



The family would like to express their thanks to the nurses and staff at Peak Resources in Shelby and Cherryville.
