Frank Wall

Mr. Frank Miller Wall, Sr., age 90 of Boiling Springs, NC, passed away October 9, 2014 at his home.
Frank was born in Rutherford County, NC, on November 18, 1923. Frank graduated from Shelby High School and served time in the U.S. Army, 387th Infantry, serving our country in World War II. Frank was a member of the National Order of Battlefield Commissions. Following completion of his undergraduate degree at Gardner-Webb Junior College, Frank completed a Master's degree at Western Carolina University, and served multiple years as teacher, administrator, and guidance counselor in Cleveland County. Mr. Wall was a dedicated member of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
Frank is survived by two sons, Frank Wall, Jr. and John Wall, his daughters in law, Debbie Wall and Becky Wall, his grandchildren Gabe Wall, Kellie Wall Lanier, Holly Wall Poynter, Sally Wall Poynter, Casey Wall Southards, Mary Wall Crotts, and Laura Beth Pierce, ten great grandchildren, a stepson, Kenneth Lewis and wife Mary, Rebecca Lewis, and multiple nieces, nephews and extended family.
Frank is preceded in death by two loving wives, Jessie Wall and Martha Lewis Wall, a stepson, Steven Lewis, a grandson, Daniel Lewis, four siblings, Muriel Cooper, Hack Wall, Hilda Wall, and Mal Wall.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Boiling Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Keith Dixon, and Frank's Army mate Rev. Don McSwain. Visitation will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 PM prior to the service at the church. Burial will be held 11:00 AM Monday at Cleveland Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Alex Lanier, Matt Poynter, Brad Poynter, Andy Southards, Jason Crotts, and Charles Browning.
The family would like to express a sincere thank you to Pa's caregivers, Nikki Roberts, Virginia Waiters, and Nettie Wray. The dedication and loving commitment of these three very special caregivers allowed Pa to remain at home surrounded by the life and memories that he so loved. We are forever grateful for your many blessings.
