G. Bivins

Mr. Bivins, 85, of 808 Poplar Springs Church Road, Shelby, NC, passed away Wednesday, July 08, 2009 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center. A native of Alexander Mills, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Belo Bivins & Mattie McCurry Bivins. He retired from Ora Mill Company where he was a twisting supervisor and was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Bivins also serven in the U. S. Army in Pattons Third Army. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by a granddaughter Christy Bivins and three brothers.Mr. Bivins is survived by his wife Ina Faye Ledford Bivins fo the home, a daughter and her husband Wanda Huskey & Dewey of Blacksburg, SC, a son and his wife Steve Bivins & Phyllis of Mooresboro, NC, a granddaughter and her husband Denise McKee & Richard of Mooresboro, NC, a grandson and his wife Vance Bridges & Lorri of Shelby, NC, a great grandson Brian McGill of Mooresboro, NC, and three sisters Clara Lemons and Virginia Davis of Shelby and Novella McCoy of Kentucky. In addition to these Mr. Bivins is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be conducted by Dr. Jim Richardson & Rev.
