Gene Bridges
June 14, 1932 — May 25, 2009
Mr. Bridges, 76, of 534 Wilson Drive, Lawndale, NC, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. Born in Burke County, NC he was retired from Carolina Freight where he was a truck driver.
Gene was preceeded in death by his parents Reubin Elmer Bridges & Sallie B. Bridges, his wife Joan Martin Bridges, a sister Annie Lou Blanton and two brothers Steve Bridges & Roger Bridges.
Gene is survived by a step-daughter Sherry Scism of Kings Mountain and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Rev. Allen Davis.
Memorials may be made the Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150 or to the Cleveland County Humane Society, 1609 E. Marion Street, Shelby, NC 28150.
