Glenn Poston

Glenn A. "G.A." Poston, 72, passed away Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Crawley Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was a member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, an active member of the Board of Directors of Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, the Cleveland County Firefighters Assoc., the N.C. Law Enforcement Officers Assoc., and the Cleveland County Law Enforcement Officers Assoc. He was also a Mason and member of Cleveland Lodge 202.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde G. Poston Sr. and Ruth Leonard Poston; brothers, Clyde Poston Jr., Claude Arey Poston, Jerry S. Poston, Donald Lee Poston and D.J. Poston; and sisters Annie Poston Wiley and Edna Poston Glover.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronald Poston, and Dan C. Poston and Norma, all of Shelby; sister, Barbara Kay Poston Grayson of Shelby; sisters-in-law, Cathy Poston of Shelby and Barbara W. Poston of Miami, Fla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
