Grace Houston

Mrs. Grace K. Houston, age 83, of Mooresboro, passed away at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby, NC on March 5, 2012. She was born Grace Elvera Kilstrom on March 31, 1928 to the late Reba and Elmer Kilstrom.



In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her husband James Grubb and later by Verco Houston; one brother Harry Kilstrom and her granddaughter Larissa Cordell Morris.



She is survived by her brother Fred Kilstrom of Little River; four daughters, Angela Karen McDonald and husband Gerald of Phoenix, AZ., Gayle Deas and husband Greg of Myakka City, FL., Stephanie Grubb Stiles and husband James of Mooreboro, NC., and Robin Stickney and husband Jim of Asheville, NC.; four grandchildren, Amanda Drimmel Hibberts, David Brock, Maggie Brock and Emily Green. She was loved by many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.



A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Little River Baptist Church in Penrose officiated by Reverend Tor Kilstrom. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the fellowship hall.
