Mr. Jones, 70, of Ellenboro, NC, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at Hospice at Wendover. A native of Cleveland County, he was the son of the late Cossie Flay Jones & Etta Lee McDaniel Jones Wright. In addition to his parents he was preceeded in death by a grandson Randal Jones and a brother Thomas Edward Wright. Mr. Jones was retired from Copeland Company where he was a maintenance electrician. He was a member of Drury Dobbins Baptist Church and served in the US Air Force & the Air National Guard.Mr. Jones is survived by his wife Lib Jones of the home, a son Ronnie Jones of Ellenboro, NC, two daughters and their husbands Angie Nodine & Chuck of Gastonia, NC, and Amy Carswell & Ed of Shelby, a sister Newell Vess of Caroleen, NC, a brother Max Jones of Ellenboro, NC. In addition to these Mr. Jones is also survived by granddaughters Stephanie Nodine of Charleston, SC, Jessie Nodine of Gastonia, Sarah Jones of Canton, NC, grandsons David Jones & wife Mindie of Ellenboro, NC, Caleb Carswell of Shelby, NC. Mr. Jones has one great granddaughter Peyton Jones of Ellenboro, NC and a sister-in-law Reca Wright of Shelby.Funeral services will be conducted by the Revs. Phillip Dunlap & David Blizzard and Mr. Ronald Jenkins.Memorials may be made to Drury Dobbins Baptist Church, Dobbins Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040 or Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
